Am I the only one that does this?  I start out the new year by jumping on a couple of really good clearance deals, knowing I am saving so much money for future presents to give to my adult children, and five grandchildren. I put those few things away, and feel so proud of myself...then life happens.  The bills I am responsible for paying have to be paid, birthdays come up, I purchase things the grandchildren can use ...clothing, etc. and go ahead and give that stuff to them to use,  and the next thing you know, its NOVEMBER and I have no money put aside, just a couple things that I purchased earlier hidden in a closet, and realize...wow, my bills are not going to go away, and there is no extra money to all of a sudden go out and buy what I want to buy for the family.  Please tell me some of you do it as well!  OR, I am just a complete idiot, lol.
